There are health signs the face shows that the average man may not know about!

In some cases, people wonder how physicians/health practitioners know about a health condition before even running a test (they can tell just by looking at the face)
The face carries a lot of signs that may be dismissed -usually telling before the sickness for instance sets in!
Unusual signs anywhere over the body should ordinarily not be ignored and with the face especially; these signs should be noted as they are usually indicators of underlying health issues which can be very serious:
1. Extremely Dry Skin
Very dry skin should be paid attention to especially when they come with equally dry/flaky lips.
It’s possible to have dry skin but when it’s noticed as unusual then attention should be paid to it especially if not caused by weather, hot tub baths and other minor issues.
An excessive dry skin and lips may be as a result of dehydration which could be an indication to poor dietary habits, vitamins or an underlying health issue. Hydrate the skin by drinking water, loading up on vitamins and improve on diet and if it persists, see a physician.
2. Facial Hair
Too much of facial hair studies reveal may be an indication to cancer of the ovaries or a tumor!
Although some ladies especially can come off as hairy but excessive hair around the lips, jaw line and around chin may be an indicator to a health issue. Excessive hair over the body is usually as a result of a hormonal imbalance but it’s best to investigate by visiting a health practitioner.
3. Pale/yellowish eyes/skin
Extremely yellowish skin and eyes are usually indicators of jaundice. If the face and the eyes turn very yellow where it’s noticeable then there’s a possibility of a liver disease like hepatitis which should never be left untreated.
Yellowish skin can also mean the pancreas or gall bladder aren’t functioning well and they should be checked ASAP.

Read 10 waysTo Survive Nigeria’s Worst Recession In 29 Years

The tides are rapidly changing and in this unstable economy, everyone — regardless of social standing and class — must adapt to survive.
Adapting can be extremely challenging especially when the situation is an economic recession in a country with more problems than just the economy.
Here are some things to cut down on in order to make it out of this recession financially sane.
Generator usage
It’s bad enough the economy is crumbling faster than a cookie but how many Nigerians can recall a lenghty spell of uninterrupted power supply.
Our standby household generators have for years, been doing what the government cannot do for us.
Now that the situation is getting dire, generator usage should be restricted to specific hours and to take care of necessities.
Comfort can wait till recession is over and we are out of troubled waters.
Eating out
Anyone who actually cooks will know that restaurants serve overpriced, often unsatisfying food.
So instead of taking your hard earned money to pay for ‘fancy’ food, go to the market, buy raw food and head to the kitchen.
You’ll save so much money.
Driving walkable distances
The cost of fuel is higher than it has ever been in Nigeria’s history, so why not kill two birds with one stone while going for short errands.
Take a walk or go for a run while running your errand. Your body and pockets will thank you.
Bulk buying of groceries
Constant grocery shopping can be such a chore so we tend to buy in bulk.
However, a disadvantage of bulk buying is that some goods may expire or spoil before you get around to using them, hence cut your grocery shopping list down to necessities.
Get what you need and not what you think you will need.
New clothes and shoes
Your old clothes are perfectly fine!

Oh you think people have noticed you’ve had that shirt for a while? Frankly, it’s nobody’s business.
As long as your clothes are not obviously tattered, there is no use going cloth shopping every week to impress people and depress your bank account.
Hanging out
We all love spending quality time with friends and family but instead of going someplace where you’ll spend more than you budgeted for (more often than not), invite them to your house and plan activities everyone can participate in.
You’ll create a stronger bond and more lasting activities while saving money.
Vacations abroad
Also known as “the king of excesses”, vacationing abroad is officially a luxury at this point in time.
Why go and spend your hard earned ‘naira’ in a foreign country contributing to the growth of their economy while leaving yours in the backseat.
Stay at home!
DSTV subscription
You don’t need to pay for all the channels. It’s not a competition.
You hardly ever watch more than 15 of the channels on the premium package, so why the bother?
The smallest bouquet has news channels for the grown-ups and cartoons for the kids.
Water as opposed to juice and sodas
Some people think there is an award for living lavish. News flash: there isn’t.
Most of these processed drinks you desire to gulp down your throat with every meal are not even good for your health and they definitely cost more than water. Drink water, you’ll live longer.
Unnecessary phone calls
Restrict your airtime to calls with purpose (work, business).
There’s no need to ask your friend what he/she is eating or staying on a call for an hour discussing what nail polish color to wear to an event.
There are tons of instant messaging services. Embrace them.

Partners who regularly talk about money are happier, report says

Specialists say that frequently deliberating financial matters might be just as important as any other component of a healthy relationship.

A new study from American finance institution, TD Bank, establishes that couples who often chat about their finances are happier than those who don't.

According to the report, approximately  78% of partners who discuss their finances weekly say they are happier, compared to  those who have talks about their finances only few times annually.
Specialists say that frequently deliberating financial matters might be just as important as any other component of a healthy relationship.
playTD Bank Love and Money Survey 2016 (TD Bank)
Quite logically, and as established by the results of the survey, consistent talks may also make it less likely that partners will keep financial secrets from each other.
The most common way of hiding financial secrets from partners seems to be by keeping a bank account that their spouse knew nothing about and 37% had significant undisclosed debt.
Hiding secrets about finances seems to be directly linked to some breakups, as one out of every 10 persons that took the survey said they would end a relationship if they discovered that their partner keeping a financial secret from them.

'Anti-corruption war built on fairness & Justice' - Pres. Buhari says

President Buhari says patriotic Nigerians have nothing to fear in the fight against corruption as his administration will ensure justice and fairness to all. Speaking to journalists in Daura after attending Eid prayers to celebrate Eid El Kabir, President Buhari said those who abuse public trust will face justice, in addition to returning their stolen assets to the nation’s coffers.

He thanked Nigerians for supporting the Federal Government policies, programmes and actions aimed at improving security, revamping the economy and combating the fight against corruption.
‘‘We should thank God this year, the reports I’m getting, which is very pleasing, is that we will have a bumper harvest this year. I want Nigerians to realise that what this government inherited after 16 years of the PDP government was no savings, no infrastructure, no power, no rail, no road and no security. Nigerians can see what we have done on Boko Haram and what we are doing to resolve the problem in the Niger Delta. Before the elections, we identified three major problems confronting our country. The first is security; we need to sufficiently secure our country to manage it well. The second is economy, especially job for the youths and fighting corruption which is continuous. For the youths, graduates and non-graduates who are interested in agriculture, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with the CBN are doing something to provide employment for them,’’ he said.

Make the best of this rainy season with your partner

Wondering how you and your partner could stay indoors and make the best of the rainy day? We've got you covered.

One thing with rain is this, it could ruin your day and frustrate your well-laid  plans.

So, you planned to go out and chill with friends, or take your partner out to a social event, but you know, as is often the case during its season, rain has other plans.
Don’t fret, though. You could turn it around and still have maximum fun even without leaving the confines of your home.
Wondering how you and your partner could stay indoors and make the best of the rainy day?
Worry no more, below are the very best ways to enjoy the best of a rainy day with your partner.

Read

Sit on the couch or any other comfortable place that can accommodate you both and read. Just be together. Sit by each other. Let there be some contact between your legs. You both might fall asleep, and that's just fine, really.

Talk

You both have been very busy all week, and there hasn't been much time to talk. Now is the time to. No rush, no hurry. You're in each other's arms on a cold wet day; now open up your hearts and communicate. Tackle an issue that’s been bugging you. Relax. Have a conversation.

Dance

Play a nice slow song and Waltz to it. Wande Coal's 'Ololufe' is a timeless song that you'll find useful here. And if you prefer something a little more upbeat just so you could include some grinding to this exercise, just go on and do your thing. I think you might find 'Darlin' by Stan Iyke and Tiwa Savage of great use. The point here is to just be close to your lover as much as possible.

Watch a movie

Dim the lights. Turn on a good movie. Make sure it's really a good one.

Cuddle

Snuggle up to each other as the rain beats the roof. Let hands and legs intertwine. Share body warmth. Nothing beats this feeling, and cuddles are best shared when it's cold.

Have sex

There's pretty much no avoiding this, and all other activities you have shared will only serve to heighten the mood. Rain is said to be really romantic, so make the best of it. Light candles. Make the kisses linger... slow and passionate. Take your time and extend your pleasure.
If by now the rain has not subsided, please just repeat the whole process again. *wink*
Rainy days are romantic
